By analysing anonymised driving data across vast distances, Rolls-Royce identified a preference for short bursts of power over sustained acceleration – insight that shaped Spectre’s dramatic and intense performance. This validation underscores Black Badge Spectre’s role as the definitive expression of power, precision, and daring character.
HARNESSING FORMIDABLE POWER
Black Badge Spectre takes power to the extreme with two advanced powertrain innovations. Inspired by Rolls-Royce’s aviation legacy, these functions mirror the burst-power capabilities of the legendary Merlin engine.
Infinity Mode, activated via the ∞ button, unlocks the full 485 kW (659 hp) output for an immediate, heightened throttle response, with the dials intensifying to match the car’s dynamic shift.
Spirited Mode delivers an instant acceleration surge. Engaged while stationary, the driver fully depresses the brake and throttle, waits for a haptic and visual signal, then releases the brake to unleash 1075 Nm of torque—propelling the car from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.

BLACK BADGE CHASSIS ENGINEERING
To ensure drivers fully harness Black Badge Spectre’s power, Rolls-Royce engineers refined the chassis for enhanced confidence and control. Increased steering weight and adjusted roll stabilisation improve feedback and reduce body-roll during cornering, while enhanced dampers optimise body control, minimizing ‘squatting’ under acceleration or deceleration. These revisions perfectly balance an enhanced sense of engagement with the effortless operation and fêted Magic Carpet Ride associated with Rolls-Royce motor cars.
A CLANDESTINE AGREEMENT
Long before its debut, clients anticipated Black Badge Spectre’s arrival, drawn to its bold reinterpretation. In response, Rolls-Royce granted a select group early access under the condition of secrecy, aligning with their rebellious spirit. A highly exclusive fleet was commissioned ahead of the reveal, and their overwhelmingly positive response validated the creation of the most powerful Rolls-Royce in history.
A DARKENED AESTHETIC
Black Badge Spectre debuts in Vapour Violet, a deep black-violet inspired by 1980s and 1990s club culture. A contrasting Iced Black bonnet adds a bold statement, with clients able to choose from 44,000 colours or create a Bespoke hue in collaboration with Rolls-Royce designers.
A new ‘waft’ coachline option highlights the lower profile, enhancing its commanding presence. The 23-inch five-spoke forged aluminium wheels, available in part-polished or all-black finishes, reflect the car’s technical sophistication. Winter tyres are available from launch, accommodating Black Badge clients worldwide.
Signature darkened brightwork, including the Pantheon Grille, Spirit of Ecstasy, and double ‘R’ Badge of Honour, reinforces Black Badge Spectre’s subversive, noir identity.
VIVID ILLUMINATIONS
Advancing contemporary craft, Rolls-Royce enhances Black Badge Spectre’s Illuminated Grille with a new backplate in Tailored Purple, Charles Blue, Chartreuse, Forge Yellow, or Turchese. This allows clients to extend their chosen colour or add a unique accent to complement the coachline or interior.
This striking illumination continues inside with Illuminated Black Badge Treadplates, available in ten colours, offering a bold and dynamic personal touch.
A VIBRANT INNER SANCTUARY
Black Badge Spectre’s rebellious character is immediately evident upon entry. The Illuminated Fascia, featuring an abstract Spirit of Ecstasy pattern, now incorporates the Black Badge Infinity symbol—a mark of infinite power inspired by historic water-speed records.
The fascia, adorned with over 5,500 stars set in a Piano Black ‘sky,’ is framed by a Technical Fibre finish. This intricate diamond-weave surface, combining carbon and fine metal thread over black Bolivar wood, undergoes meticulous craftsmanship, including sandblasting, six layers of lacquer, and hand-polishing for striking depth.
The Infinity symbol is also stitched into the leather ‘Waterfall’ section separating the rear seats. Instrument dials can be curated in five bold color themes—Vivid Grellow, Neon Nights, Cyan Fire, Ultraviolet, and Synth Wave—harmonizing the physical and digital elements of the SPIRIT operating system. This digital luxury platform offers remote charging, location details, and exclusive access to the marque’s digital members’ club, Whispers.
