Alfardan Premier Motors Co., the official retailer of Jaguar Land Rover in the State of Qatar is honored to renew its partnership as the official transport provider for the 2020 edition of Qatar Total Open for the tenth consecutive year. The premier tennis tournament, which will take place this year from 23rd to 29th February at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, is set to witness the participation of the top tennis champions from around the globe.
The partnership stems out of the company's eagerness to support sports tournaments hosted by the State of Qatar and to reinforce Qatar’s position as a leading sports hub. For tenth consecutive years, Alfardan Premier Motors has provided a fleet of luxury vehicles to enhance the level of comfort for the movement of players and teams to and from the stadium. For this year’s partnership, Alfardan Premier Motors will be providing a fleet of 45 luxurious Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles for the championship.
The 2020 Qatar Total Open will be featuring 64 international players vie for the coveted trophy. This year’s line-up includes World number 1 and 2019 French Open champion Ashleigh Barty and defending champion and 2019 US Open doubles winner Elise Mertens.
In addition, eight out of the 10 best players will be in Doha including 2017 champion and World No. 2 Karolina Pliskova, and 2014 champion and World No. 4 Simona Halep compete for the sought-after title. The Qatar Total Open, which brings the best female tennis players will also see in action former world No.1 Angelique Kerber, finalist in 2014, Garbine Muguruza, 2018 finalist, and Jelena Ostapenko, the 2016 finalist.
Other players to watch closely will be 2019 Wimbledon semi-finalist and World No. 5 Elina Svitolina, World No. 6 and 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu, World No. 7 Belinda Bencic, 2018 champion and World No. 8 Petra Kvitova and World No. 10 Kiki Bertens.
