Jaguar Land Rover’s Everyday Legend Competition Honours the Competence, Commitment and Achievements


Luxury automotive manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover Middle East and North Africa, announced the winners of its annual Everyday Legend competition at a gala dinner and award ceremony held at Saadiyat Rotana, Abu Dhabi on January 28, 2019. Now in its third season, the intensive practical examination tests the skills and knowledge of participants to ensure a worthy winner of the prestigious title.

Arun Veluthedath from Al Tayer Motors (UAE) took home the title of Technician of the Year 2018, while Alaa Chamas from Alfardan Premier Motors (Qatar) and Anoop Abraham from Al Tayer Motors (UAE) were named Land Rover and Jaguar’s Technician of the Year, respectively. Nassima Lahoussine from SOPREM (Algeria) was recognised as Jaguar Land Rover’s Service Advisor of the Year 2018 and Anouar Hozman from SMEIA (Morocco) took home the Sales Executive of the Year award.

The competition started with over eighty applicants eager to showcase mastery in their field and commitment to the Customer-First Principles Jaguar Land Rover promises both regionally and globally. Put to the test through a series of theoretical and practical evaluations, the Technician, Service Advisor, and Sales Executive of the Year participants applied their best efforts to demonstrate the expertise Jaguar Land Rover prides itself on. The regional final of the programme was held at Yas Marina Circuit, located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Technician and Service Advisor of the Year challenge aims to reward and celebrate Jaguar Land Rover’s growing dedication to better customer service supported by skilled and knowledgeable staff.

The Jaguar Land Rover MENA Everyday Legend 2018 awards were sponsored by Castrol.

The winners of the Technician and Service Advisor of the year awards will go on to represent MENAP in Jaguar Land Rover’s global finals, which will be held in the United Kingdom in September 2019.

In 2014, Jaguar Land Rover MENA unveiled a dedicated regional training academy in Dubai - the first-of-its-kind in the region, that enables the brand to replicate the in-depth training offered by its UK-based Academy. The facility reinforced Jaguar Land Rover’s commitment to offer technical and non-technical training programmes for dealer partners and regional office staff across the MENA network.
