Marking the entry of a supremely practical vehicle that is set to redefine the compact SUV segment, AAB has unveiled the new Rush in Qatar. Offering efficient fuel economy and maneuverability, along with ample interior space with three rows of seats that can comfortably accommodate seven passengers, the new vehicle seeks to highlight Toyota’s focus on introducing vehicles that are not only equipped with a host of enhanced and functional features, but also meet the growing demands of the brand’s most discerning consumers.
The new Toyota Rush has been designed keeping in mind the evolving needs and tastes of consumers from around the world with a crossover SUV-like styling for a sophisticated facade. At 4,435 mm long, 1,695 mm wide, and 1,705 mm high, the Toyota Rush’s external dimensions open into a spacious cabin on the inside with ample room for passengers and luggage.
Eiji Fujibayashi, Chief Engineer of the new Toyota Rush, said: “At Toyota, we are always in the pursuit of developing vehicles that cater to the needs of our customers and surpass their expectations. I would like to extend our gratitude to our customers for their constant support and inspiration, which continue to motivate us to develop ever-better cars that exceed their expectations,” Miyamoto added.
Designed for those looking for functionality, the new compact SUV offers a high degree of utility with its three-row seating and plentiful luggage space. With a 5.2-meter turning radius, the Toyota Rush boasts excellent maneuverability as a result of the vehicle’s FR (Front-engine, Rear-drive) platform, in addition to exceptional ride comfort and handling stability through a five-link type rear suspension.
Delivering a dynamic driving experience, the new Toyota Rush comes with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates a maximum output of 103 hp and 13.9 kg-m of torque and incorporates the Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent) technology, which continuously optimizes intake and exhaust valve timing in response to driving conditions for exceptional performance. The engine of the new vehicle is mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic to offer a smooth shifting experience with superior fuel efficiency.
The new Toyota Rush exhibits a modern and sleek identity with its long cabin and robust body. The front of the vehicle features large, wraparound headlamps and a thick lower grille that seamlessly encompasses the Toyota logo and headlamps for an aggressive and dominating look. Furthermore, the vehicle has an aerodynamic hood with a longitudinal bulge, which gives it a further distinctive character. Complementing its dynamic styling, the compact SUV has been provided with uninterrupted lines surrounding the windows on both sides, significantly enhancing its roomy look. From the back, the new vehicle continues to look sporty with its large tail lamps and chunky boot lid, while a seamless line flowing from the side to the rear further enhances the vehicle’s dynamic image.
With an attractive black interior and a sophisticated feel, the cabin of the new Toyota Rush has been decked out with a range of enhanced features for more convenience and comfort including a colored multi-information display in the center of the meters displaying fuel efficiency in an intuitive format, a six-speaker sound system, a USB jack, an accessory socket for convenient charging of smartphones and other devices, in addition to 13 bottle holders placed deftly throughout the vehicle. The sophistication of the interior design has been further enhanced by the instrument panel, which integrates the speedometer and tachometer that are accented by elegant chrome-plated rings.
Offering three-row seating, the new Toyota Rush can comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers with ample space for luggage. The seats ensure utmost ride comfort and provide a variety of seating configurations, with the second- and third-row seatbacks folding down to create a large space for long items and the third-row seatbacks tumble-folding to expand the luggage space, allowing easy access for occupants and enough storage for a variety of loads for both family and business use. Even as all seats are occupied, the roomy luggage compartment of the new vehicle can accommodate four 20-liter water bottles.
From a comfort perspective, both the driver and passengers are ensured a relaxing cabin with the Toyota Rush’s best-in-class automatic air conditioning system, which allows the temperature of the interior to be quickly adjusted for maximum efficiency. For optimal cooling performance of the entire air conditioning system, upper vents have been incorporated on top of the center cluster to achieve maximum cooling for passengers in the rear seats as well.
As with any other Toyota model, safety remains a top priority for the new Toyota Rush, which offers a comprehensive array of safety features to protect its occupants, namely six SRS airbags that include dual front SRS airbags, side airbags for the front seats, and curtain shield airbags for front and rear seats; Vehicle Stability Control (VSC); Anti-lock Braking System (ABS); Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD); Traction Control (TRC); Hill-start Assist Control (HAC); rear parking sensors; rear fog lamps; and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), among many others.
