Ferrari, the world-renowned Italian marque of luxury sports cars is distinguished for its racing legacy. As part of the event, Ferrari’s most powerful ever mid-rear-engine open-top sports car – the 488 Spider – was put through its paces at the Losail International Circuit. Under the supervision of Corso Pilota drivers – the world famous Ferrari team of Italian driving instructors from Maranello – guests were invited to exploit the supremacy of the 3902 cc turbo-charged V8 engine. Powered by an unmistakable Ferrari engine sound, the high-performance car completes the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds flat, and from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.7 seconds.
The exhilarating experience on the circuit concluded with a ceremony to award guests securing the top three lap times. The first place winner of the event was rewarded with the highly sought-after Corso Pilota driving course in Italy. The intensive programme led by skilled instructors enables participants to understand the true capabilities and mechanical prowess of driving a Ferrari on the track.
