Alfardan Premier Motors Co., the exclusive retailer of Land Rover in the State of Qatar, has announced the arrival of the new Range Rover Velar in its showrooms.

Design: balanced, powerful
Velar’s designers started with a clean sheet using Jaguar Land Rover’s Lightweight Aluminium Architecture. The result of their efforts is a vehicle which is the standout design in its class, with powerful, taut surfaces and a stunning silhouette further enhanced by its large alloy wheels, particularly the range of 22-inch designs. Advanced technology in the form of slender LED headlights and flush deployable door handles serve to accentuate Velar’s reductive, sculpted form while contributing to its drag coefficient of 0.32, the lowest of any Land Rover ever produced.
The reductive theme continues in the interior where the number of switches is kept to an absolute minimum, creating an elegant, clutter-free inner sanctum, the centrepiece of which is the new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system. Featuring two 10-inch high-definition touchscreens integrated seamlessly behind secret-until-lit surfaces, these slim, intuitive displays sit harmoniously within the cabin architecture. In terms of practicality, the Velar’s luggage compartment volume is an impressive 673-litres.
Advanced engineering for every application
Velar benefits from a sophisticated all-wheel drive system paired with four-corner air suspension and a suite of traction technologies which combine to deliver world-class all-terrain capability. A choice of petrol engines in four and six-cylinder configurations are mated to a smooth-shifting ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. The engines range from a frugal ingenium 2.0 litre 4-cylinder 250PS turbocharged petrol to a 3.0 litre V6 380PS supercharged petrol powerplant that enables the Velar to reach 100km/h from a standing start in just 5.7 seconds.
The Velar and Velar R-Dynamic ranges are available in Standard, S, SE and HSE specifications, while during its initial year of production a First Edition model will be sold in limited numbers. Using only the V6 petrol engine, this highly desirable model boasts a wealth of extra features and comes in one of three exclusive colours which are hand-sprayed at the Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations Technical Centre in the UK.
