The First Regional Exclusive Event for Porsche Clubs in the Middle East

More than 100 members participated in an exclusive event organized by Porsche Club Qatar (PCQ) in collaboration with its counterparts in Kuwait and Jeddah for Porsche Clubs members in the Middle East.

Members came last week from Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain to participate in this three-day event, which took place from the 12th to the 14th of January in several locations all over Doha. The event included a private Track Day at the Losail Circuit Sports Club.

Alongside a day full of motorsports, PCQ prepared a range of social and touristic activities for participants. The program kicked off with a special dinner at the Grand Hyatt to welcome visiting members, followed by the track day at Losail International Circuit, where all participants enjoyed a special-car show and a family-friendly setting. On the last day, the group went on a tour around some of the most important landmarks in Doha.

Khaled Al Remithi [Above], PCQ President, said: “This event comes within the framework of our commitment towards our members to create and organize unique and special activities. We have collaborated with the management of the Pearl, Mall of Qatar, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum and several other places to arrange for a special welcome for the delegations from other Gulf countries. The entire program was implemented successfully, and was met with gratitude and appreciation from everyone.

“Porsche Clubs Worldwide has been established since 1952 with 660 clubs and 220,000 members from all over the world. They are all connected by their passion for Porsche and for social and motorsports events. The club was established as part of this global network, with the purpose of reinforcing relationships and creating networking opportunities among its family. There will be more activities of the sort to come in collaboration with other parties and with other Porsche Clubs to scale up the level of service we offer.”

“I am so proud of the Porsche Club Qatar team. Given the fact that the club is run entirely with their volunteering efforts, I am thankful for their support and their persistence to ensure the event was implemented successfully. I would also like to thank the team of the Losail Circuit Sports Club for their support in organizing a private track day for our members. They have impressed everyone with their professionalism, friendliness and cooperative can-do attitude,” Al Remithi concluded.

Zakaria Dashty, Porsche Club Kuwait President, the co-organizers of the event also said: “We are delighted to have such cooperation with our colleagues and friends from PCQ. The event was successful on all levels. Qatar has certainly been very welcoming and we are coming back for more events and activities.”

Porsche Club Qatar was established in 2014 with the aim of bringing all Porsche owners under one roof to celebrate uniqueness, innovation, safety on the roads, and commitment towards the community. The club is being managed entirely on voluntary basis by Porsche owners independently from the dealership in Qatar, and in accordance with the rules and regulations stipulated by Porsche Clubs Worldwide.

All Porsche owners in Qatar can join the club for symbolic membership fees. To register, owners need to fill an online application on www.porscheclubqatar.qa
